Description

The CACTUS database consists of vegetation relevés and individual plant species records of the Dutch Caribbean islands. The database is managed within TURBOVEG software package.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 35,261 records.

Purpose

The dataset aims at supporting scientific research and nature management and policy. Applications are vegetation classification, trend and Red List analysis of species, analysis of trends in species composition, and identification of areas of nature interest.
